Kahului Union Church Preschool
Kahului Union Church Preschool is a mission of Kahului Union Church with the purpose to foster Christian beliefs, values and attitudes in preschool children and their families. The preschool provides experiences that nurture the development of the child spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. Art, music, physical movement, math, science, social studies and language development are integrated into a curriculum based on the Bible with themes that focus on the greatness of God.

PLAY is recognized as the process through which children learn, and the teaching of social skills is embedded into the daily program.

We are licensed by the State of Hawai'i Department of Human Services to serve a maximum of 32 children ages 2 years 6 months - 5 years. Our teacher to child ratio is 1 to 8.

ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Children must be 2 years 6 months and toilet trained by the date of entry.
Child and parent attend a pre-enrollment parent orientation/child visit.
Completed admission forms, payment of $150 non-refundable registration fee, and a current Form 14 D.O.E. Student Health Record must be turned in by the date set by the director.

PROGRAM OPERATION: August - May school year; June summer session. (Closed in July)

PROGRAM HOURS: 7:15 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. (Children arrive between 7:15 - 8:15 a.m.) Monday - Friday, except holidays and vacations as indicated on our school calendar.

PICK-UP SCHEDULES/FEES:
by 12:15 p.m.   $350/month
by 3:00 p.m.   $450/month
by 4:45 p.m.   $495/month

MEALS: Mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks, and lunch are provided.

PARENTS AS FIRST TEACHERS:
We believe that parents, not the church and preschool, are the child's first teachers and are responsible for their child's development and behavior. Kahului Union Church Preschool supplements the child's family life through experiences that involve interactions with their peers.
